I know it can be scary. I know your knees are shaking. The uncertainty of what lies ahead makes you want to turn around.

But darling, if you’re looking for certainties and guarantees, you won’t find them here. Life is enjoyed and maximized by those who are willing to head into the unknown, trusting that the universe will guide and provide. If you’re looking for safety and comfort, the womb is your best bet.

Because life after birth is far from comfortable. It is beautiful and ugly, joyful and heartbreaking, organized and chaotic, comedy and tragedy. It is all of that and more happening simultaneously. Therein lies the beauty of it though. You will find a full range of emotions, colors, and experiences here. The goal here is not to be happy; the goal is to be whole. And wholeness, my love, is a life-long process that requires a full spectrum of experiences. Life will give you all the experiences you need to facilitate wholeness. But the journey is not always easy. The drive will be scenic and exciting, but along the way, there will be blind curves, reroutes, missed exits, and accidents. Wholeness involves filling your heart with so much joy you can barely contain it & then suddenly & oftentimes unexpectedly, breaking it till you can hardly breathe.

When this happens, as it many times will, I hope it does not discourage you. I hope you do not allow it to leave a bitter taste in your mouth. I hope you take the lessons with a grateful heart, and you go on living and loving the hell out of this world. You need to know every experience is necessary. You need to know this is good for you. This is how you learn. This is how you grow. This is how you figure out your purpose.

You get exactly the experience you need. Sometimes, it’s handed to you by chance. Sometimes, it’s your choice. In those instances when the universe allows you to take the wheel, I hope you make decisions that reflect your soul’s calling. I hope you make choices that feel right to you even though they may be difficult, even though they may be scary. I hope you choose growth over comfort, kindness over rightness, forgiveness over retribution. And if you have to choose between happiness and wholeness, I hope you go with the latter. I hope you make the most out of this beautiful, blessed experience. I hope you know this can end anytime. I hope your choices are made with that in mind. Namaste… ❤️
