I am an Amateur

You say ‘amateur’ as if it were a dirty word, but let me tell you a secret: ‘amateur’ comes from the Latin word ‘amare’, which means to love. To do things for the love of it.

I embrace my amateur status with pride. It means I am driven by passion, not by obligation. I am free to explore, to make mistakes, to learn and grow without the weight of perfection pressing down on me. My journey is not defined by accolades or achievements, but by the joy I find in the process itself.

Every stroke of the brush, every note played, every word written is an expression of my love. I am not bound by the constraints of professionalism; I am liberated by the boundless possibilities of my amateur spirit. In my world, there is no fear of failure, only the thrill of discovery.

So, call me an amateur. I wear the title with honor, for it signifies that I am a lover of life, a seeker of beauty, and a creator of joy. To be an amateur is to be truly alive, to do things for the sheer love of it. 🙏🏾❤️
