Does Love end? Yes, and what remains is memory. When immersed in Love, in that very moment, we are granted the words to vow it eternal. And to feel it eternal. In those moments, we know because we feel, and we feel that we will love forever. This is because Love returns us to the dimensions of the Soul where the Soul exists, but time does not. Love inhabits only the present time in which, whole and freed from the commitment to calendars, we can embrace destinies. Love temporarily allows us to know ourselves as timeless, granting us the grace to feel greater than the world itself, becoming our very life.
Thus, we feel that we will love until death and beyond, but Love ends earlier because we give it an ending. We suffocate its greatness with our smallness, dismiss its generosity with our selfishness, focus on the thorns and ignore the flower, its strength does not persist because of our weaknesses. Through inaptitude, we bid farewell to a guest we wished to stay, returning to our limited condition, seeking to return to a home where we ourselves closed the door.
For every encounter and every sorrow, the heart becomes better equipped to shelter the next Love… ❤
