Honrar-me.

Emptying the Cup

I keep pretending to know. I dress myself in the sharp, starch-pressed clothes of certainty, walking through the world with the performative gait of one who has mapped the stars, when in truth, I am only guessing at the dark. There is a knowing within—a dense, vibrating hum—but the moment I reach for it, it liquefies. It slips through my fingers like water, betrayed by the labels and conditions I insist on pinning to it. I require of every situation a name, a category, a neat little box where the experience can be filed and forgotten. I turn the mystery … Continue reading Emptying the Cup

… Continue reading O Grito que Nos Costura

My Silence

I painted smiles to adorn my silence. With eyes tightly shut, I whispered secrets of enchantment, confessing to the moon and stars. And oh, how I danced like a mad soul, chasing the elusive pulse of love, even when reason deemed it unnecessary. But in your absence, my emotions grew feverish, aching for your touch. They ignited a rebellion within my reveries, setting passion ablaze amidst the shadows… ❤️ ©️ Beatriz Esmer Continue reading My Silence

Yearning House

I stand like a lonely house, weathered by time and memory. My timeworn walls echo with the whispers of your absence, each creak a yearning for your return. The windows, once vibrant portals to the world, now ache with anticipation, yearning for the moment when you will see me again and breathe life into these forgotten chambers. Until then, I remain, a sentinel of longing, waiting for the day when your footsteps grace my threshold once more. The seasons pass, and still, I wait. The sun traces its golden arc across the sky, casting shadows upon my worn floors. The wind, … Continue reading Yearning House

O Território do Outro

Ele prometeu o mundo e o fundo. Eu me deixava envolver. Erro crasso. O olhar dele não … Continue reading O Território do Outro

Hello, July!

Come gently, like sunlight filtering through leaves—that golden, porous light that doesn’t ask permission to exist. Come with a warmth that lingers, a heat that settles in the marrow of things, and winds that whisper, insistently, of the change we are too frightened to name. May your days be stitched with courage—not the loud, armored kind, but that fragile, stubborn courage of simply being. May your nights be stitched with a rest that is not just sleep, but a homecoming. And may your heart be stitched with the quiet, terrifying, beautiful knowing that growth does not happen in the sprint; … Continue reading Hello, July!
