God…
Sometimes I find myself trying to understand everything: I write down, I store in memory, investigate, I debate, disagree, agree, I look at sides, I’m ironic, I wonder, I doubt and I get ready myself to knowledge. However, how to understand the song of a thrush bird? Or how to understand an affectionate lick of voracious lioness in her lion cubs injury? It is… Some things are not meant to understand, but simply love them. I think such crazy thing about God that I think He lives laughing at me, like a father who laughs at the antics of his children. … Continue reading God…

[…] She licked his lips. They had the taste of peace and rain, and a confession that she had not dared to do. He smiled a smile that was intended to be as withering as his eyes and he combed his black hair with his fingers that fell over his eyes as he was sleeping and dreamed of her cherry smell and flowers on her naked body… so in love he was reborn through her eyes…♥ From Midnight Tales by Bia Esmer Continue reading Midnight Tales

Words: felt and satiated
I feed myself of words, those that my soul needs. In the depths of simplicity, I allow myself to sink in them, expand within them. And in the bottom of myself, I wake up all the residents of my rooms for a bountiful supper and make a toast with wine in contemplation with life. I just want to be grateful to it throughout its divinity. I need to eat enough, never too much, because I am hungry beyond the worldly passions, I need to feed myself from the mouth of the knowledge, mortal spirits, passersby, the energy that comes from … Continue reading Words: felt and satiated
Illusions in our own mind…
It pains me sometimes when we don’t see that others travel the same hard road we’re on. Are we so conditioned to fear that others will take what’s ours, or that there’s not enough for everyone, or in our own self-interest will make others look bad? Perhaps one day we can truly love and trust one another, and realize that there’s nothing to fear, but the conditioned illusions in our own mind….♥ Photo: The Green Eyed Lady by Rudra Mandal Continue reading Illusions in our own mind…
Congada
The massive presence of African slaves in Brazil since early Portuguese colonization gave birth to a range of cultural Afro-brazilian practices. One of these is Our Lady of the Rosary’s Reign, popularly known as Congado, a religious tradition in many corners of Brazil. To this day, especially in the state of Minas Gerais, Congado moves hundreds of communities, predominantly black and poor, located in villages and country towns as well as in the outskirts of the big cities. It is a particular form of popular Catholicism, which includes contents inherited from African religious expressions mainly connected to Bantu cultures. It … Continue reading Congada
Choice
There will be those who choose the harmful path, for they dwell in their superficial misery (self-absorbed) and continue to be blind to the deeper malignancy that needs to be healed the most. Personally, I remain sympathetic and compassionate, and I can either point the way towards a more life enhancing path, or walk away with the love in my heart intact, if they’re not ready and choose to continue the suffering. As Robert A. Wilson would say “but I don’t feel any masochistic duty to share their misery…. ♥ Photo: Frida Kahlo Continue reading Choice
