“I just know”

In the presence of colors and roses, it becomes evident that these things pale in comparison to your essence. I recall the day when we found solace beneath the sheltering branches of a willow tree, as they swayed with a melancholic brilliance above you. It was then that you spoke of the beauty that resides within sadness, and how those who carry sorrow within them possess a depth that surpasses mere downcast eyes and grey smiles.

As the sun began its descent, painting the sky with fiery clouds, it seemed as though a ship was ablaze, consumed by the heavens. In that moment, the reflection of this spectacle danced within your eyes, transforming you into an angel of mercy and grace. I couldn’t help but wonder how you came to possess such wisdom, and I posed the question to you. Your response was a serene smile, as if you held the secrets of the universe within you. Memories flickered across the clarity of your gaze, but you blinked them away, leaving only the certainty of your knowing.

“I just know,” you replied, and in that simple statement, a profound connection was forged between us. We intertwined our hands and together we witnessed the ascent of the moon, as it climbed a ladder woven from the fabric of darkness. In that shared moment, the world around us faded, and all that remained was the ethereal bond we shared, illuminated by the moon’s gentle glow.
