There’s nowhere to run, no escape route, no secret trap doors to slip through. The troubles that weigh heavy on our hearts cannot be meditated away, and there’s no hiding out in the present moment. The only path forward is through the storm, facing it head-on, embracing the turmoil that threatens to consume us.

We are called to surrender to the arms of the beloved, in whatever form they may take. It could be the warmth of a lover’s embrace, the solace of a friend’s understanding, or the gentle touch of our own hands. We are beckoned into the uncharted territory of our own souls, navigating the unresolvable mysteries of separation and union.

In these moments, perhaps there is nothing sweeter, fiercer, or darker. It’s a dance between light and shadow, a delicate balance of joy and sorrow, love, and loss.
