It is worth living!

It is worth living. The first time you said, “You’re my best friend,” for books, for plaid shirts, red lipstick, and bitten nails. It’s worth living, for all the times when you look out the window and smile or cry, for the music, for the times you shared so much with the person you loved, for amphibians, for hot chocolate, and coffee. It’s worth living, for the glances in school hallways, college campuses, and crowded streets, for unforgettable memories, for the sea in summer and winter, for that time you felt free looking at the world, for Nutella and chips, for the black pencil, for your mother, and for photographs. It’s worth living, for cinema and theater, Shakespeare, Walt Whitman, Pablo Neruda, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Julio Cortázar, Mário Quintana, Clarice Lispector, Cora Coralina, the plays of Gil Vicente, Luigi Pirandello, piercings and tattoos, charcoals and graffiti art, for falling in love on a lightning train, bus, in the library or at the doctor’s office, for a smile after tears, for that friend who will always be beside you, bonfires with friends, for fireworks and the summer loves they bring, beaches, and the smell of the sea. It’s worth living, for the first time you kissed, made love, then the second, the third, and the fourth, for broken and crumpled stockings, for broken hearts sometimes mended by a hug, for kisses under the stars, under water, and under the covers, for cigarettes, for travel around the world, for concerts that make you shudder, for Christmas lights, for that person who will recognize your wounds and kiss your scars, for the times you’ve been held by the hand, and the ones when you’ve been saved while falling into a ravine. It is worth living for those times when you desired nothing more than to die, and then thought about how much life you had left to live. It’s worth living… Always…❤️

Here’s to a life full of beautiful, unforgettable moments. 🌟
