The Art of Love

I am no authority on anything that I am about to tell you. I am simply writing from my heart something that I believe your heart should read.

There is no right and wrong way to love.

We are all born different, even though we all possess the same genetic code, but that does not mean we all need to love in the same way. There is nothing in the world that should make you feel insecure about your ability to love.

Because there is no formula for love!

That is the very reason why some of us are dog people; some are cat people. Some have a love for the sea; some have a love for the mountains. Some of us love men; some of us love women… and some of us love both (but really, we all love both — we only love them in different ways). Some of us fall head-over-heels in love in a passing moment and then babble gibberish the next time we see the person we have fallen for. Some of us take time to realize that we love a person — maybe we are scared, maybe we don’t understand the feeling, maybe we question the feeling, and maybe we worry that we are not loved back. Some of us will never admit it because we think we are too strong to give in to love. Some of us let the love of our life walk out the door, never to look back, because we see the love we have for them in their eyes, but directed at someone else.

Love comes in different shapes, sizes, colors, places, heights, and genders… But we ALL love.

Don’t ever, for even a fraction of a moment, feel insecure about your ability to love. No one has and ever will prove a formula to give love’s correct answer. So, let your heart guide you, and never doubt your ability to love. For in the end, love is the one true constant that binds us all. 🙏🏾❤️
