I’ve learned that most people will love you on their own terms. They’ll love you when it’s beneficial to them, being selfish with their hearts and loving you from a distance. They’ll do right by you if it means you’ll stay down for them. They’ll love you when it feels right, and most will leave whenever it no longer does. And that’s okay. Sometimes, the people we love with our whole hearts decide that’s not enough for them—and that’s okay. The only people who deserve to stay in your life are those who love you unconditionally. Who love you up close and out loud. Who are proud to show you off. Who treat you right at all times, regardless. There are still people waiting to love you selflessly, praying to love you better, and waiting to show you that everything will always be okay. Go find them and keep them close. ❤️
