There is a quiet, fragile geography within the ribs. A small heart, seemingly bound by bone and breath, yet holding a territory as vast as an ocean. How strange it is that something so finite can shelter a love that refuses containment—a love that spills over the edges, caught by the wandering wind, restless and untamed.
This immense affection does not ask for permission. It descends in a whisper, heavy and sweet like ripe fruit, loosening the pomegranate’s fierce grip upon its seeds, only to tumble silently into the dark, questioning depths of two almond eyes. It knows the terrain of longing. When dawn breaks, it climbs upward, seeking refuge in the tender shadows of dimples that greet the morning light with an innocent smile.
In this endless journey, the heart forgets its own address. It loses the way back to the heavy doors of the familiar, abandoning the safety of house and name to wander the open roads of another’s soul.
We spend our lives fearing that we are too small for the world, forgetting that love possesses its own quiet alchemy. It is boundless, stretching far beyond the ordinary boundaries we draw around ourselves. Yet, for all its terrifying vastness, it collapses gracefully into the simplest of sanctuaries. It is forever a traveler searching the horizon, and forever a resident resting quietly in the cherished curve of a smile.
